Our Journey Began in Lima, Peru
When our Founder and CEO, Silvia Gálvez, moved back to Peru to care for her family, she saw a need in her community. Drawing from her 14 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, Silvia reached out to her daughter’s school, offering free workshops to raise awareness on issues like leadership, financial literacy, emotional regulation, entrepreneurship, identity, addictions, and self-esteem.
The school welcomed her with open arms, and soon other schools and orphanages wanted to be involved. With a heart for service, Silvia trained volunteers to bring support and hope to more communities.
Since 2012: Empowering Lives, One Step at a Time
The seeds for this idea were planted in 2001 when Silvia Gálvez, inspired by her work in social services, found her passion for helping others through workshops and presentations. Recognized as a leader in her community, Silvia knew she wanted to make a bigger impact.
In 2012, she brought that dream to life, founding Express Connect, a social enterprise focused on offering coaching and workshops to schools on social issues. Her mission was simple: to make coaching and personal growth accessible to everyone.
With the support of dedicated volunteers and community partners, Express Connect grew, expanding its services to include coaching and training for individuals and businesses. Silvia also introduced coaching certifications in her method. With a background in neuro-linguistic programming, neuroscience, and counseling, Silvia is dedicated to helping individuals overcome their fears, embrace challenges, and achieve their dreams. Her passion for helping people remains at the heart of her leadership and everything we do.
